Tips if you are at the #airport in #Tripoli, #Libya. Get into the departure area as soon as you can, it could be very stressful and intense.

Iraq braces for largescale protests

Thousands of Iraqis are expected to take part in rallies organised mainly through social networking site Facebook, after weeks of scattered protests around the country calling for an end to corruption, shortages of jobs, food, power and water.

"February 25 is the Iraqi day of rage for change, an end to corruption and sectarianism in Iraq," said one post on the wall of Facebook group 'Baghdad Facebook' on Thursday, which had over 3,000 supporters.

I dont mean to sound stupid or anything but didnt we just lose lots of soldiers and tax payers money giving them liberation and a better life?

Most areas still have no running water and the electricity is on maybe 2 or 3 hours a day. That's just a couple of things they are contending with there.

And by "against Libya" remember that means the "Khadaffi's Libyan government" not the Libyan people.

Under Saddam the food and energy were subsidized. Now it's not. Also, much infrastructure was damaged and never repaired.

Ahhh and with what Earth Cries says about the water and electric then Im surprised they havent protested before.

Just when I think it can't get any more bizarre...

What looks to be the imported black African mercenaries are out there in yellow raincoats painting black and yellow stripes on the curbs.

I bet they are really, really unhappy over getting pulled off Rape and Kill duty to paint curbs.

Suspect

Libya oil production to shut down completely-BofA

LONDON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Oil production in Libya is expected to shut down completely and could be lost for a prolonged period of time, Bank of America Merrill Lynch said on Thursday.

'We expect Libyan production to be shut down completely and we might lose sweet crudes from Libya for a prolonged period of time,' Bank of America Merrill Lynch analyst Sabine Schels told Reuters.

My poor old computer can't get it to load.

What are they broadcasting -- one of Muammar's vintage 1980s fashion parades when he dresses in neon colored silk caftans with epaulets and medals, while surrounded by his virgin body guards?

Iraqi's overthrowing their regime for democracy - the irony is simply delicious.
